gretings all my wife has ben dignosed with lupus litt over a year ago i help her with her treetments now order her supplys im thire for her every step of this is thire any support groups for someone like me sometimes it gets real hard to deal with shes my life my world i want to be strong for her but it gets realy hard some times thanks all best wishis

Welcome to Healing Well, this is a great place for lupus support. I don't know of anyplace that is specific support for spouses-of-lupus; but there are groups for spouses of the chronically ill that would be able to help you. Check with your local hospitals, they usually know of groups in the area.

We are happy to have you here, and will help you as much as we can. You might want to read The Spoon Theory to learn more about how your wife feels.

Thanks a lot ive read the spoon theory a while ago i understand what she is gooin thru its the simple fact that im thire for her and thirs nothin i can do when she flares. shes 32 with total kidney falure still yong we have 3 kids i work as a framer i change her dilas bags laundry kids im thaire for her some times its overwelming tome but we mannage to get thru the flairs it just seems its not enough you all know thanks 4the advise ill be back thanks agin. Hey Davel! Just wanted to welcome you to the forum! I agree with Lynnwood, this is a great place to recieve support and even understanding. I wanted to add one place you might be able to find a support group for Lupus patients and their families are at the lupus foundation of America website. They have a spot for local chapters and hopefully you have one near you that will be helpful. I know for a fact they are extremly helpful, I have dealt with them many times.

You sound like a great husband and I want to personally thank you for sticking in with your wife in all the hard times. It is such a blessing to have supportive people who are willing to help in anyway they can! So thank you!!
