I am new to this sight and to my Lupus diagnosis. I just wanted to say Hi to you all, and to tell you you will all be in my prayers. I also wanted to say thank you. For so long I thought I was going crazy. Everything hurt me at some point.. There was no rhyme or reason as to what hurt, when, or why. And now, thanks to you lovely people, I know I am not nuts. Seems so many of you have gone thru what I am going thru. Up until now, I would pass of what was wrong as menopause, or arthritis, or just plain getting old. Now I know....Thank you thank you thank you.

Hello there :)! Welcome to HW! I agree, this is such a great website. I do not know what I would have done without it, especially when I was first diagnosed!

Have you seen a rhuematologist yet? If not, i would recommend you seeing one, they are the trained specialist that treat auto immune diseases such as lupus!

I have my first appointment with her on October 21. That is the earliest she can see me. I am lucky that my daughter interned with her, and said she is excellent. I only with I could see her sooner. I am antsy to talk to a live person who knows about this.

 Welcome I havn't been here long myself but I love it. Any! question I have had I get answered. So nice to have support from sombody who understands. So can I ask who diagnosed you? I thought it had to be a rheumy.

Welcome! I had to wait to see my rheumy too, but I love him as he got me on the right meds from the start and I am feeling so much better! I still cannot tolerate the heat, but at least I can finally walk right and my fevers have lessened. Take care!
