I'm back- sort of

Hi Everyone. I had gastric bypass surgery Nov 18. I've been up and about, still balancing the lupus-gastric thing. I weighed 241 lbs at surgery and have now lost 31 lbs which is pretty cool.

My computer- I used to call it the old work horse- had to be put down. Well, it died on its' own. That's it for now. Love, Butterflake

Thanks for the warm fuzzy Amy. I love the weight loss, but yes I've been flaring terribly. I still don't regret the surgery. It should add a few years to my life which is a very good thing! Love Ya, Butterflake

Hi Everyone. I developed severe abdominal pain each time I ate and by Friday nausea and wretching began. We were snowed in here in Atlanta and my bariatric surgeons office was closed. I had the paramedics take me to the ER Wednesday, was admitted and got home yesterday. They ran several tests, said everything related to my gastric bypass was in working order. They kept me NPO for 36 hours and put me back on protonics (which I had quit on my own thinking if I didn't have heartburn all was ok). Turns out the med is essential for bypass patients. This whole gastric bypass - lupus thing is a huge trial and error endevor, but I'm still glad I had it done. I hope my attitude continues. Love, Butterflake
