Hi everyone!  I've recently been diagnosed with lupus....still kind of going back and forth with my feelings about it-a lot of denial and anger and just plain don't understand!  I've tested positive for ANA, have a low white count, and have a high anti-ssa(extremely sensitive to the sun but am also a red-head).  Originally went to the doctor because I was having pain in my wrist that was off and on.  He saw that my Mom has scleroderma and wanted to test for rheumatoid arthritis.

I just don't understand this disease and am frustrated...

I'm a newbie too. I'm in the "waiting to be diagnosed phase". I just got 9 vials of blood drawn to check for Lupus or RA. I'm positive ANA (speckled 1:360).

good luck! Mine took several frustrating months! My ana is also speckled and 1:1280.

Do you have a lot of ankle and foot swelling? Mine is three times too big today. My 80mg of lasix isn't working too good today.

Welcome!! To the forum. This disease can be very frusterating and please ask any questions you might have! I have found it really helps to share what we are thinking when it comes to this disease!! Hope you start feeling better. Do they have you on any current medications?

Only lasix for the swelling. They won't treat me until the bloodwork comes back in June.
