Lupus-Food advice

hi just have a qiuck quetion?

my girlfriend has lupus (SLE) what kind of foods should she eat (kindly name them)

she had (SLE) since she was 15 yearsold maybe or since she was a child i wanna know if lupus can be healed or same as diabetic people :( is (SLE) a for life diseases

Lupus cannot be cured, but with appropriate medication, it can be controlled. As for the diet, I eat everything. I don't have any particular diet. I only know Alfafa sprout is not good for us, and I try to avoid it. I think others in the forum may be able to contribute more in the subject of food for lupus.

If she's over weight losing some weight can ease the stress on her body.

There is no cure but some cases do go into remission so there is always hope but no guarantee for any of us that will happen. Here is the advice on diet that the Lupus Foundation provides.

Your friend should see if there is a nearby support group and go. There will probably be lupers that can answer many of her questions and help her cope with lupus. LFA has many support groups around the country.
