I must remember I'm not super woman anymore.
I thought I'd do a little restoration work today on my poor mailbox. I thought "it's cool enough there's a strong breeze blowing from a storm moving by (no rain yet). The sun's going down and it won't take but 30 minutes to do what I plan to do".
I took a small hammer and beat out a small dent made by a vandal years ago. Not too hard... I can do this.
I grabbed the drill with the grit paper attached and started grinding at the rust spots. A little harder...sweat is beginning to drip.
Next I got a scraper to take off the old decal numbers. I'm sweating bullets now, hands are trembling some...
After unsuccessfully removing all but 10% of the decals I was ready to collapse!
I stagger into the house with every muscle trembling and soaking wet with sweat. I look at the clock I had been out there for 20 minutes!
It took a long slighty cool (don't want to set off the Raynauds) shower to feel somewhat normal again. It's been over 45 minutes since I came in and I'm still trembling some.
I did not realized how much I've changed since Feburary.
What will the new school year bring me?
