Going on Disability

Well, I finally bit the bullet and went and told my boss that I wanted to go on disability. I have worked at the same place for 13 years as a supervisor. It has been the most awesome job and I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity.

But it has gotten increasingly harder through the years to go to work and do a good job. I was diagnosed with Lupus 6 years ago and have persevered. It was very hard for me to do this but my boss was great and very gracious with me.

I will still go in for a few days next week to train someone to take over my position. I feel good because I know it was the right time for me to do this but still sad to have to do it.

I plan on spending some time on much needed rest and relaxation and then focus on getting myself through this flare and feeling better.
