hi, i am new to the site but recently have been experiencing joint pain mainly knees hair loss, mouth sores, tingling down left arm, i had a positive ANA 1:160 hemogenious pattern with high titers and went into menopause at 38 with symptoms that started much earlier than that, recently i went to my doctor for headache with memory loss and confusion, which seem to have resolved now , I'm not sure if that could be related to the menopause or my other symptoms, any input would be helpful, i am waiting for other test results to come back from the rheumologist, i also have thyroid issues, thanks

Many lupus symptoms are also symptoms of other illnesses. That makes it extremely difficult to know what is causing what -- for instance, I had night sweats for years before menopause and before lupus....now after menopause and with lupus controlled I still get hot flashes (*and* cold flashes) without reason...no-one knows why.

Sometimes we just have to wait and see what the tests reveal to the Drs -- and often the diagnosis isn't nearly as important as controlling the symptoms.
