Yesterday I had to go on a field trip with my class to the zoo. Thankfully it was a small zoo. There was a small flight of stairs to climb and my knees screamed all the way up. We walked up hills and down hills for 2 hours. I finally got to sit down for 10 minutes to swallow 1/2 a sandwich whole before the others are finished and wanting to run off to the playgrounds. I had to stuff my lunch in my backpack and follow. I was so tired I can't think straight.
The ride home on the bus was one painful jar after another. I get back to the school and I have to walk the kids back to the home buses, finish lesson plans, and type in grades for the week. One of my co-workers said my face was white as a ghost.
I get home at 5:15 to find out we're going out to eat for my niece's birthday.
We go local- thank goodness. I sit leaning against the wall of the booth ready to pass out. Getting home I stumble up the stairs and collapse in my recliner. After an hour of rest I get up and get ready for bed. I wound up sleeping until 12 noon! That was 14 1/2 hours!
I've spent the rest of today in my pajamas veggitating. Every bone and muscle in my body is throbbing.
I'll probably have to rest tomorrow too.
This is what worries me about continuing working as a teacher, as well as my brain fogs. However, I don't see me holding down any other job. I can't do retail/office work/factory work-fluorescent lighting...I can't work outdoors because sun sensitivity...I think I'll go work in a cave...
What kind of jobs are available to a sun sensitive, brain foggy, fatigued woman?
