Cause of Head, Ear, Chest Pain When Singing ???? Lupus?

 I have sung in choirs for over 30 years, but singing is painful now.  After a few minutes of singing I experience increasing pain in my ears, chest, and head.  My vocal range is much more limited than it used to be.  Instead of singing soprano as in the past, I can now barely sing low alto.  Could this possibly be from medicine such as Prednisone that I take for SLE/Lupus or could this be a new side effect of SLE Lupus?  It is disappointing and frustrating for me.  Does anyone have experience with this and if YES, what have you done about it?

I have never heard of Prednisone having that particular side effect. I would go back to your doctor and like Joy suggested, a good ENT. Let us know what you find out!
