Suspected Connected Tissue Disorder

   I've found myself on a new part of HW and hoping to find maybe a few friends and mostly advice. Here we go, I've have been seeing a Neurologist for the past few months to see why I have numbness/neuropathy in my feet/legs. I need this done before I can get major surgery done on my feet. I've had problems with aches,stiffness,circulation. The joints in my whole body have always bothered me and now at 37 Im like the Tin Man. I cant seem to ever get loosened up and my joints pop all the time. If I sit too long I have to get up and stretch and move. I have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis but I've wondered why this is so bad. When I get up in the mornings I have to literally fight to get moving. It eases after the first 1-1/2 hr. but still fighting. Anyway my Neuro is sending my BW to the Mayo clinic to be analyzed and should know in a couple weeks.

   In the meantime I am researching this and Im overwhelmed. Are these symptoms anything that are associated with CTD's? I didnt even tell my Neuro 1/2 of what Im telling now so your input would mean alot!!!

 Thanks for the reply NanaBee! My neuro told me that if the blood work comes back with signs of CTD that he would be reffering me to a Rheumotologist. I was just trying to figure out which symptoms were related to this and which were not. I have alot going on and what I've read about this is mindboggling!!! Thanks again!!!

Thanks Bsime for the responce. My Neuro sent off my BW to the Mayo clinic Mon. and should hear back about it in a couple wks. I've complained my whole life about joint stiffness to diff. Dr.s and they passed it off I guess. Maybe they thought I was the type that just complained? I have been diagnosed with osteo arthritis and is 1 of 5 conditions that I was granted disibility on. Sometimes I'm not too bad but others I feel lke someone threw baseballs all over my back and joints ache and litterally POP! My Neuro said that if the BW comes back with his suspicions he will be sending me to a Rheumotologist. Im just tired of going to the Dr.s office at this point but will keep going. I already have 5 specialists but I think I would benefit going to a Rheumy.

I live in Alabama and have some very good Dr.s in Birmingham and Huntsville.

I'll post back when I get the results later when the results come in. I'm ready for some answers. I've been diagnosed with so much in the past few years but I believe in early diagnosis.
