Far Too Many Headaches

I get headaches too. When I was first diagnosed I kept a headache going in that same spot.
It's eased now to where it's not there round the clock.

not sure about if its a symptom, but what I can suggest is to watch what you are eating and when you get them. My daughter and I both suffer from migraines and need to stay away from cheese, chocolate and wine. Try a food diary for awhile and see if any certain foods correlate with the headaches.

I also use something called a migrastick, got it at a vitamin store. You rub it on temples, behind the ears. Smells like eucalyptus, and works on aromatherapy principle. Has been a life saver for both of us.

I dont really eat cheese or chocolate it seems to happy when im computer i mean it wont happen just like that normally if i watch tv or go on the computer it happens i guess its not that different from someone without SLE but it can come once a day but not everyday the only difference is its just come all of a sudden im still on my tablets at the moment anyway so i really dont no i hope my brain is not involved. My appointment is 2 weeks away and i cant get seen sooner iv been waiting 3 months for the appointment alot has happened

Do you think i would have to have a CT scan or MRI scan (dont no which one) to see if there is any neurological problems do you?

I need to see a neurologist for my strange shakes I get sometimes, but money keeps me from doing right now.

Make sure to tell your rheumy about the headaches. It could be something as simple as needing glasses for reading. Don't worry until it comes.

Your headache may or may not be related to your lupus. Lupus patients are known to suffer with headaches. I would mention it to your Rheumy.

Yes, your health system is different than ours here in America. I have lived twice overseas and there is a HUGE difference between what most countries have compared to the US.

Unless, you're having a lot of other neurological issues, I don't think you would need an MRI or CT. But I am NOT a Dr so all I can say is to my past experience. Just let your Rheumy know and try not to worry so much. Stress can cause us to flare, which then could make your had hurt even worse.

I basically freaked out the first months of my diagnosis. I suddenly starting hurting out of the blue last year. It kept getting worse and worse. The more I stressed the worse I felt. The worse I felt the more I stressed. A vicious cycle....

Try to relax and don't fret over every little pain. Pain is a part of your life now. How you deal with it will determine how you feel the pain.

Try an ice pack on your eyes. If that doesn't help switch to hot cloths.

I never know which one helps until I try it. Sometimes cold sometimes heat.
