Hi Everyone. Friday evening I had bad abdomial pain coming in waves. Hubby took me to ER a the pain waves were up to a 10. Thank you Lord for morphine. I had (another) partial bowel obstruction. Not only did the NG tube suck, it also sucked out the contents of my extremely bloated stomach.

I was admitted, got lots of IV fluids and it resolved on its own. The CT showed that the only remaining portion of my gastric by-bass in 2010 has developed a small stricture at the jejunum. So in the future if I get another obstruction the docs will do surgery.

Anyway, I came home yesterday, wiped out of course, but feeling much better. Love, Butterflake aka Donna

Ouch, Donna!
I understand your frustration over the NG tube. My mother was in the hospital for the same thing last month.

I hope you feel better soon. Also try some numbing spray on your throat. Mom's throat hurt for several days afterwards.

Ouch. Nothing like a weekend in the hospital. So glad you are feeling better.

Donna,

So sorry to hear that you had to go thru all this. I bet you are wiped out ((((hugs)))))). Let's hope and pray that you won't have anymore issues and won't require surgery.

Have you had any news on your approval for Benylsta? I had my third dose on Friday. It sure wipes me out, I spent the whole weekend in bed. My hubby left and went to his parents for Thanksgiving. My Dr wouldn't allow me to travel. The whole family all 18 of them are there, while I'm here, my daughter decided to stay with me, as I'm not allowed to be left alone.

It's a lot put on her, she has to sleep with me, as I pull off my mask for my VPAP and w/o I will die. I hope you and your hubby have a good Thanksgiving hope you feel better soon.

Goodness!!! I am glad that you are feeling better. Those situations with our GI system can be scary. I am sending you a huge hug and positive thoughts for your healing. I am also curious if the approval for Benlysta came through.

Barbara Lee-If you happen to read this, I am so sorry to hear that you go through so much after each Benlysta treatment. I tend to feel energized, but I am thinking it's because of the solu-medrol I get prior to the infusion. This last treatment did not have the same "oomph" as the previous ones. Not sure why, so hopefully the doc can give me some answers. Still off the Prednisone, although not easy. I find that I am taking more Tylenol Arthritis and Tylenol with Codeine than ever before. The doc wants to keep me off the Prednisone until she sees me Dec. 7th. Sometimes I don't think I can make it :)

I also wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.
