Overdid it

Today I decided to help my sister out with cleaning her kitchen up.

I did two dishwasher full of dishes and a whole drainboard of pots. I washed windows, swept, dusted, wiped down counters, frig, and microwave, and swept out windows.

I then helped my BIL put spark plug cables on his car.

My left arm became so inflammed thanks to all of the work.   (I'm a lefty.)

From my neck down to my finger tips is swollen and killing me!

I rubbed bengay on it, iced it, and had my sister give it a gentle massage.

I had a odd feeling going on the skin surface though. It almost felt numb but the muscles and joints throbbed.

Have any of you ever had your arm feel like that?

Sounds like you really over did it yesterday. It's so hard for us to remember not to overdo it, especially if we're having a half way decent day.

Sounds as if your muscles were just overworked. Trynto rest a bit today. Let your body recooperate and start to feel better.

Hi Joy,

     I agree with everything that was said.   I get to feeling good and then take on a ton of chores.  By evening and into the next day, I end of paying for it.  Sometimes my skin even hurts.  And you are right, being gentle on yourself and getting good rest works.
