Sigh. I'm tired and my joints hurt. The more I try to avoid/manage stress the more it gets to me.

My joints don't hurt badly, just maybe a 3 on the pain scale - but it's almost every joint and just goes on & on.

I could go on with a list of woes that are causing stress, but it's stressful to put everything in one spot without being overwhelmed. And in the whole scheme of things, there are a lot worse problems to be had.

For this 5 minutes, I'm going to go with "Life Sucks". After that, I guess I'll resume my normal plodding.

Sigh.

 I go through this everyday. I have good and bad days. The bad days run about 2 days long and I just feel beat down and cant stop thinking and thinking. But just remeber the good days are not too far away.

I hate those kind of days where everything is piled on top and you just can't seem to get out from under.

I find some way to distract myself with humor.

Do you take anything for joint pain?  Like celebrex?

Arthritis pain is insidious...not that bad but wears you down.  I have been having a lot of it the last 2 or 3 years and it drains me.

Sorry that Life Sucks at the moment, (((hugs))). I certainly know that feeling. You say all your joints hurt, do you have any swelling in them? Are you retaining fluid in them? Gosh I'm not sure what to recommend to you, but I know my daughter uses Aleve when her joints are hurting her bad. It seems to get rid of her pain, she also takes them for headaches too.

It just plain sucks that when you're trying to avoid stress more and more seems to show up. I'm sorry that you're not feeling well. Please know that I'll be saying a prayer for you and sending loads of positive and healing energy your way.

I hope you feel better, and always you know my number if you need to vent on the phone.

Sorry you're stuck in the plodding zone. No fun. Bill really nailed it - the relentless pain, even if it's not the worst pain, is such a drain on the body - and spirit.

I did use Celebrex some years back (when they Rx'd it in larger doses) and thought it was amazingly helpful. Then came the scare about heart troubles associated with the Cox 2 drugs, so I stopped. Tried again more recently, but it seemed to increase my dry mouth problems without that same great pain relief.

Hope you find something to help and/or you start feeling better soon!

I get those days all the time. Yesterday was one of them. It's hard to "find something" or "get up and do..." When you feel like that. I know I usually feel like I just want to crawl into a cave and not talk to anyone.
This may sound silly, but look up something funny on YouTube. It's really hard not to laugh or smile when you watch a baby laughing or crazy cat hi jinks or a dog doing something dopey. Always makes me laugh.

Thanks for your support. Dunno' quite why I've been on the verge of tears yesterday & today, but it certainly isn't my usual response. Lots of other things adding to the stress this week. Anyway...

I don't know that this is diagnosed as arthritis - I think it's part of how my Lupus acts. I have Ibuprofen and Vicodin, neither of which really does much. I feel like the Vicodin is overkill anyway.

I've not tried Aleve, I see that it is 'naproxen sodium', I was thinking it was just another brand of ibuprofen. I think there might be some around here. I also haven't tried Celebrex. Perhaps I need a visit to my rheumy.

I did finally make an appointment with a "drug shrink" as perhaps a big component is depression leaking thru my current meds. It's hard to figure out which string to pull when everything is in a tangle, you know. This appointment is something I've been avoiding for a couple of years.

It does wear you down, but in ways it's just a small thing so I am always tempted to avoid dealing with it. Maybe time for a change, I see I said "plodding along" and that isn't any way to live.

PS. Only prescription meds are anti-depressant & low dose Plaquenil at the moment, with Vicodin as backup pain medication - mostly affects muscle pain which is currently at a minimum.

cry   I'm so sorry Lynnwood. Like Lucy, I took Celebrex, then went off a couple o years and I'm now back on it. I helps, but I still take my narcotic Nucynta bout once a day (it can be taken every 6 hours and I without the Celebrex I was taking it often. I also take Tylenol arthritis (brand) at night with 2 tramadol. The two can be bought combined as the prescription Ultracept. Just FYI, naproxen and ibuprofen are two entirely different types of NSAIDS. I know you well enough to say that you know this, but the pain and fog are blocking it. Love you, Donna

I am having some weird joint issues. It is in weird places. My hip is the worst. Yesterday my jaw joint started hurting. I had TMJ a long time ago but I haven't had a "flareup" in years. The worst part is like you say it isn't the worst pain but it is annoying. When I open my mouth too wide it hurts. I hope you feel better

Sorry to hear you are having a rough time. Lupus joint pain is horrendous. You are entitled to your 5 minutes, just because your are always there for the rest of us doesn't mean we can't be there for you.
