Has anyone else had vein problems? I have had lupus for over 30 years now and was fairly symptom free for 20 of those years. The past ten or so have been one thing after the other. My throat has become involved with choking and needing esophageal stretching, skin problems from the prednisone, shortness of breath from lung involvement. The past few weeks my ankles have swollen each day. It looks like water retention but I have no heart problems. I have noticed that recently my veins have been very visible and ugly. They are not raised up and do not hurt. I can't help but feel that the ankles and the veins are related. I take prednisone and hydroxychloroquine. The doctor is considering putting me on brysate (that may be spelled wrong). I'd appreciate any responses. Thank you
