For the last week I was on 40mg of predisone for a bad case of bronchitis.
Today is what I call crash day. I've been off of it for 24 hours and I've crashed something terrible.
I'm weak as water, shaky, and every joint hurts.

Every time I have to do predisone I crash after the round is over.

For the first time in over a year I'm ready to crawl in the bed early.

Do any of you get "crash days"?

Some days all I can do is take my pills and go back to sleep!

I have yet to come off of prednisone after my first burst. Everything comes right back within 24 hours. Sorry you are feeling so bad :( Hope you feel better soon!

Joy,

(((hugs))), I'm sorry that you've crashed from coming off the steroids. That's a common problem for all of us. Did you do a taper or just come off the 40mg?

I hope that the flare resolves itself w/o you having to go back on prednisone. Try to rest as much as you can, and I hope you feel better soon.

No tapering. He didn't think I needed to taper with taking it only for 5 days.

I slept from 1am to 9am, then fell back to sleep until 3:30pm. I still feel rotten though.

My father has started the process to replace the old carpet in their bedroom. I promised to help out also but all I've been able to do is pull a few staples up, sweep, and put some old hearth stones in a bucket. I started shaking and couldn't help any more.

I just came off of a taper yesterday and I am really feeling it today. My body hurts so bad! Hope you feel better soon.
