Discoid lupus lesions

Hi Everyone
Im new to this forum thing!!!!
I have discoid lupus with a large lesion on my forehead (and multiple lesions on my scalp) which i have had for 7 years but it is growing quite fast now, its red, lumpy and darn ugly!! I have used cortisone creams on and off but its horrible stuff, i guess it works in the short term by relieving some of the redness and swelling but definatley thins the skin and has made quite a dint in my lesion/scar... Just wondering if anyone else has these sorts of lesions which flare up then subside slightly and what you do for them other than conventional steriod creams?

I have the same question. My discoid lesions are driving me nuts. I guess no one has any solutions so far?
I actually have psoriasis too, sometimes in the same area as the discoid, mostly on my scalp. It's been getter redder, more pronounced, and growing fast. It's soo gross :(
Some people with psoriasis recommend using glycerin. I tried it and it seems to work on the P but not on the lupus. You could try luxiq or olux (steroid in foam form) but it is super strong and will most likely thin out your skin.
I only ever had success using methotrexate, but that did some things to my liver and I had to come off it. I'm also on Prednisone, but since tapering, my skin is getting more "angry."

Did you find that any medications worked for you?
