red, burning, itchy knuckles

i am suffering from lupus and now i m having red, burning, itchy knuckles. any idea about the reason?n

i tried moisturizers and creams for days but they did not help at all, but i tried steroid cream y'day and it has helped me magically.

having rheumy appointment in March and discuss this with him at that time.
