I'm Flaring Big Time

Sending many prayers your ways, Jazzi was home for the weekend and it was a nice visit but I'm worn out and miss her already...I'll probably have a good cry tonight and then send more prayers for you...

Barbara's colonoscopy went well this morning - no problems found just some inflammation.

Tomorrow (Friday 7:30 am EST) will be the big surgery -- repairing/replacing/etc of the Achilles tendon. Remember she has trouble breathing and is always on oxygen - Barbara has to be on her stomach for this surgery. She'll probably be in ICU afterwards.

I'm traveling but will try to post as soon as I know more info.

Hi everyone,

I want to thank you all for your prayers and well wishes. I'm hanging in there, have to admit it's more painful than I expected. I believe the plan is to send me home today.

My hubby is quite worried as I have a pain pump that is attached to my leg. The wire is very thin that run from where the needle inserted behind my knee. They were hoping to send me home yesterday, however, one of the nurses put the pump on pause by accident, I hope.

So once my spinal wore off I wasn't getting any medication when I should have been getting the stuff since the surgery started. By 4 am Saturday I was crazy in pain. The pain service figured it out and was big time upset. So I've been playing catch up on pain control.


I'm guessing I will be home later today. At least we can spend our 29th anniversary together today. My radiation burns peeled the day I came in, so I've been dealing with that too.

Please pray that hubby and daughter are able to get me up the one step and the lip of the doorway today w/o to much trouble. I can not put ANY weight on my foot for the next 4-6 weeks.

I'll post tonight and let you know how it went. Again thank you for supporting me and caring.

Many prayers for you, Barbara...take it very easy!

How awful about the pain pump situation, Barbara! Hopefully your pain is under control now.

Please let others take care of you, although that's easy to say and, at times, difficult to do. Remember that your husband and daughter are there for YOU and they love you and my guess is that they feel very good about being able to give a helping hand.

Hi just a quick request for prayers. I've been home since Sunday my back is in terrible pain. Just had a follow up and I have a hematoma on my spine where they did my spinal. A STAT MRI was just done waiting on the neurosurgeon to say if I need surgery STAT
