If you've been reading my latest posts you know for about
a month my dominate hand has developed a knot on my ring finger. Also I've been having increased pains in my hands.
I saw the rhuemy today and he think I've developed Arthritis. I had several vials of blood drawn and xrays of my hands.
I can get the results next week.
Meanwhile, I'm on celibrex. :-P

Hi Joy,
I am so glad you saw your Rheumatologist. I took Celebrex years ago and it did help. I had to stop taking it because it started to bother my stomach. Hope you start feeling better soon.

I'm sorry to hear it Joy as much as it's nice to know what may be going on. I also hope you start getting some relief.
I was going to mention as well to watch your stomach on the celebrex. I'm on it too and it does bother my stomach. It helps to drink a full glass of water when you take it and usually with a good sized meal. Eating lots of fiber has been helping me and especially things like cabbage, broccoli and yogurt.
Hugs and speedy relief to you!

Does celebrex come in generic form?
He gave me samples for nine days.

Joy, here's a site that talks about
Celebrex becoming available in generic form. I would've called my pharmacy to check, but they're not
open yet this morning. . . .

Wishing you the best--

Gosh, Joy, I just spoke to my pharmacist--she looked up when Celebrex is scheduled to go generic, and it's December 2015. She said that her resource is almost always right, give or take a couple of months.
Sorry I don't have better news!

Shoot! I still haven't started it because I wanted to talk to my kidney doctor first.

Welp, when I looked online just now, there's a Wall Street Journal article, released eight hours ago, that states:
"Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. said Thursday it will be able to release its version of Celebrex in the U.S. by year's end after settling a patent dispute with Pfizer Inc."
It also says that Celebrex has the right (or something like that) to retain royalties until December 2, 2015.
The article won't let me copy and paste the URL--it wants me to log on--and I don't have a WSJ account. But if you look up "Celebrex," the article should hopefully pop up.
Very good idea to check with your kidney doctor first.
Sorry to be confusing!
Jan
