The rheumotologist said its okay to take it up to 3x a day, but i feel its wrong to be medicated 21 out of 24 hours a day. Does the effectiveness wear off over months of use? Without 850 mg/day at least, i'm pretty much crippled. Thanks for helping...i was diagnosed two months ago, and I'm waiting/hoping the plaquenil brings me some relief.

I don't like to take a lot of pain medicines.
I reach for heat wraps first or a hot soak.
Then muscle rubs come out.
If still hurting I grab strength tylenol and try heat again.
If still hurting I get out my tramadol. I rarely have to pull out the tramadol.
