Should I see a specialist?

I know you guys have to hear this same stuff over and over, and I am well aware that lupus is a disease with great variety and hard to diagnose even in a clinical setting, but I just want some opinions if anyone has the time.
My current issues are:

Spontaneous crossed eyes due to muscle degradation for the first time in my life
3 month "ear infection"-2 courses of antibiotics haven't helped, they think the eustachian tube is just swollen shut, ringing,popping, pain and pressure in ears getting worse.
Joints hurt daily, especially fingers,wrists,neck,ankles, and toes.
Almost daily deep ache in my muscles
Can barely function unless I get over 12 hours of sleep, and even then I'm dead on my feet.
Red flushed looking rash? Across my checks an nose on and off
Small circular patches of what looks like eczema on my arms. I've never had eczema that stayed so round and small.
Fever over 100 every night

That's just the recent stuff. I have had positive ANA and C-reactive protein, and mayo clinics rheumatology told me to keep an eye out because I could develop an autoimmune disease. That was just from my bloodwork and before the joint pain and all the other nonsense started.

Am I doing the right thing by approaching my primary to get a referral to see a rheumatologist? This has been going on for almost 4 months and gets worst right before my menstrual cycle. I just don't want to go in there looking silly if I shouldn't be seeking out rheumatology. : /

I agree with Lynnwood, definitely see about a referral to a rheumy if a referral is necessary. In Canada it is.

While you're at it I would suggest obtaining a referral to a dermatologist at the same time. In hindsight I should have gotten one decades ago but I never thought all my rashes were a huge deal. Now that I look back, it could have offered early insight to all that has come to light about my health now. It's better to get things checked out and not wait them out in my experience.

Now I'm seeing numerous specialists on a regular basis and it's a daunting experience. So many tests, referrals, appointments. If I had of taken better care over the years and seen my doc to check out my weird symptoms when they started I would not be in this boat!

I don't like to go to the doctor either. I hate to waste their time. I've learned though that it's better to go earlier rather than later. There's no need to suffer unnecessarily.
