Hello, I am new to forum life.... I am a 33yr old female, and Over the past 10years I have been having the symtoms of Lupus.. Hair falling out, lesions on my face, on my back, and my legs which get worse with sun exposure, I have flare-ups it seems right when they are about
gone, face swelling, ankle/feet swelling, swollen lymph nodes on neck/under chin, both knees have joint pain, swelling, and stiffness, I have 1+ protein in urine, fatigued, and memory loss. I am seeing a rheumatologist who is very reluctant to diagnose me with Lupus because the ANA test came back negative. However, for me that isn't new. I seem to be the 1% with everything! Haha I am that patient who needs Dr. House! She has me on an anti-malarial pill to see if it helps, but she was reluctant to have me on a steroid as well. The Anti-malarial seems to be helping, as I have been taking it for about
four months now. I am also seeing a Pain management doctor for all the pain I am having. A little background info. I have had 12 left knee surgeries and a cadaver bone on the left tibia. The symptoms started after the cadaver surgery. The doctor had to lower my antibodies so when they did the bone graft my body would accept the knee bone. I was wondering if maybe that could have played a roll with all this going on now. My antibodies don't know what is foreign and what isn't...? I have also seen 3 dermatologists and they don't know what it is either. Any help or opinions would be much appreciated! Thanks for your time!
Becky
