Hi, I am knew to forums so I hope I am doing this right. My sle is pretty active and I am on Imuran and a low dose of prednisone bc I can't tolerate high doses. I have tried every med that could work and nothing has made me "normal". I am always active and sick and have bad flares. I really want to get you nose pierced but my doctor said it is too risky right now. At what point Am I "well enough" to get a piercing and have any of you gotten piercings when you were told not to?
Thanks for your help.
P.s. Diagnosed 10 years ago with sle and secondary sjogrens a couple years ago as well as chronic anemia due to chronic illness.

I've never had piercings, but I did want to welcome you.
Have you considered a "glue on" type?
My doctor doesn't like me to have any type of broken skin. A cat bite cause cellulitis in my hand last year.

Personally, I wouldn't do anything that might trigger my immune system it I could avoid it.
Best wishes,
