Blood work results

My rheumatologist after lots of blood has put me on hydrocloriquin. Part of my blood work shows medication induced, another part showed systemic. Any words of wisdom. He suspected lupus before the bloodwork

Plaquenil (hydroxychloroquine) takes 2-3 months to build up in your system and is a disease-inhibitor for Lupus. You may need other medications, such as Prednisone, to control your symptoms in the meantime.

Generally it is best to follow the rheumy's instructions.

I’m not a doctor by any means, but it seems odd that both medicine induced and systemic both show elevation

I'm not sure that bloodwork really shows the cause that clearly. Even if it shows up differently (which I have never really heard of before) it probably overlaps.

If it's medicine induced, they should have you stop the medication - it's supposed to clear up after a few months with no other treatment needed, other than to manage symptoms.
