Unilateral symptoms???

Just curious, does anyone here have unilateral, or mostly unilateral symptoms?  (Unilateral is on just one side of the body).   It seems almost always when I have a symptom (neck/shoulder pain/vision change/skin sensitivity,achiness) it is on my left side exclusively.  Does this happen to anyone else?  Does anyone know why this happens?  TIA!!

Hi Spainy,

  Most of my problems are on my left side too! I have no idea why it's mostly on one side like that. I do have some problems on the right side but, the left is alot worse for some reason. This is a good question for my rheumy when I see her.

  I'm glad you brought this up, its a great topic!

Spainy,

Most of my achy joints are on both sides except for my fingers. My right hand is much worse which is sorta wierd since I'm a lefty. So I think I'm a unilateral and a bilateral. :-)

I'm like Bitzi, I have pain on both sides (the aching kind of pain) in all of the joints, but I have sharp or throbbing pain that is worse on one side than the other. My right hand is worse, and it's hard to cut food, open bottles, etc. but my left leg is worse and will cause me to limp, and then back to my right knee which is worse than the other side! So who knows?????? We're all just a little lupie!!
