Hi, I haven't written again for awhile, although I have come every day to read the posts. You are all such great, caring people, and I am very glad I found you! Anyway, I still don't know what is wrong with me, don't know if I ever will. But, I had a question for you anyway, if you can give me some ideas, I would be grateful.
If you remember, I was having some trouble with rashes, on my legs and face mostly, whenever I went outside. My doctor had told me to take an antihistamine every day for 2 weeks. I did that for just over a week, then I forgot one day. I went outside at a funeral, and I didn't get a rash, so I figured maybe it was better. So, I haven't taken any more for a few days. Then, this evening, I went out to get in to my car, and I felt my face getting a bit warm again, and a bit itchy on my legs (nowhere near as bad as it was!).
My question is this - for any of you who get bad hives or rashes, or red face or anything like this - do you notice if it is the cold that sets it off? The reason I ask is that it had been quite a bit warmer here for the past few days, but today was pretty chilly and windy. And, I sometimes notice I get rashes/itchy hands and arms when I am working at my computer in my basement, which is pretty chilly too. I'm just curious, because I assumed it was the sun setting me off, but maybe it is the cold? I have heard of being allergic to the cold, which I think would be pretty bad living in Canada! Anyway, if anyone could help....
Also, does anyone else seem to have a really itchy scalp at the times that they are having rash outbreaks, could I have a rash on my scalp?
Thanks for your replies. I hope to find out more about what my next step is on April 16, which is the soonest I can get in to see my dr. My friends have kept pushing me to keep pursuing this, and to ask for a referral to a specialist in the city, so that is what I am trying to convince myself to do! I am nervous, as I am afraid he will just do the usual "You're fine!", and brush me off, but I will find another dr. if he does. I may be posting again the night before my appointment for a bit of a pep talk!
Take care everyone, you are all in my thoughts!
