Hello,

I have been diagnosed with Lupus this week.  I know I've had it all my life or at least for 10 years or so. I just didn't put all the symptoms together until this winter. I have had this red pimply rash that comes and goes. It itches so bad I can't stand it. They gave me Elidel and it did nothing. Then coid. cream seems to be the only thing that works. But I have a spot on my back which is where this all started that goes from red to pink, back to red again. But never gets better. Is this part of it too.

Also, the doc I saw said the headaches I get are migranes. Are migranes a symptom to AI diseases as well.

Hi welcome to the group! I'm still working on a DX but I have a rqash on my back that never goes away. One doctor says it's from steroids and one says lupus. I also have terrible headaches. blinding headaches. Especially in the morning when I first wake up. I'm sure others here will have better information for you. I just wanted to say Hi. I hope you get some good answers here. These are a great bunch of people.!

Hi Julie and welcome. I'm sorry to hear about your lupus diagnosis but at least with a diagnosis you get some answers as to what is causing all of your symptoms. As far as the headaches go, a lot of us here have really bad headaches/migraines and I think they are pretty common with lupus. I get them too and am not sure if they are migraines, but they make me feel very sick and I can't do anything but lay down in a dark quiet room. I didn't get headaches like these until I had lupus. Feel free to ask any other questions. I had a ton of them when I first got sick and I still have lots of questions. Take care and I'm glad you joined us.

Hi Julie,

  Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry your having those nasty headaches. I have had migraines in the past, but it has been a few years. Most of my headaches now are either one sided, that involves the whole side of the head and face, or either in the back of my head. I hope you find some relief for yours soon.
