Which scan to ask for barrium or gallium?

Anyone know which test I should ask for to have the best chance of finding inflammation or lymph node issues barrium or gallium? I can pretty much get whichever I want so long as I ask in such a way as to make it clear to the doctor I won't walk away with another no answer, x-ray, or MRI scan. I figure I need to know what is going on and I know one of these two is the one I need but can't for the life of me recall which. So if anyone out there recalls the difference between the two please let me know because I am going in tomorrow evening to demand a test to find the cause of the pain and the lump.

I have heard of gallium, but am not sure what it is. I know barium is drank in large amounts (been there, done that) to highlight your intestinal tract. I think the gallium may be the IV dye that they inject to highlight your kidneys, liver, and gall bladder. I am not sure which lymph nodes you are wanting them to check. I know I can feel mine on the one side of my throat always swollen. I am not sure if the scan is the correct test. Maybe an ultrasound would be better?
