left hip pinching

woke up with pain in left hip .its pinching thats the best way to explain it.not sure what it can be .but i hope it goes away very soon.i want to paint my rocking chairs this weekend .i wont be able to with this pain.thanks for the kind welcomeing .hugs to you all.love marie

Marie, I'm sorry you are having pain this morning. One of the very frustrating things about this disease is not knowing how you are going to feel every morning when you wake up. It's kind of like the lupus lottery except you rarely hit the jackpot, lol. I haven't had problems with my hips (yet), but I know there are several others here who have had hip problems and hopefully they might be able to offer some insight for you. I hope you get some relief from your pain soon so you can go ahead with your painting plans this weekend. Take care

I am so sorry you are having hip pain.. I can relate 100% as hip pain is one of my worse problems in relation to lupus. I am not exactly sure what you mean by pinching. Mine feels like a drill is going right in my bone. The pain is awful, simply awful. Have you had any diagnostic testing done? I had several sets of xrays done and a bone scan and finally I am getting some answers. I see an orthapedic in June. In my case I have narrowing of the joints.

I wish I had some wonderful advice for you. In my case nothing offers me relief.. not pain meds, not stretching, not heat or cold compresses. Hang in there and I hope you feel better soon.

Hi Marie and city girl. Sorry you two have so much pain with your hips. especially since there isn't a whole lot of ways to avoid using them. I've noticed over the last couple of months that my hips have been bothering me. I guess it's my hips. If I stood up straight and push on my hip area just on the out side part it's very sore. I don't know if it's muscle or joint pain. All I know is I don't like it! Anyway I hope you two get some answers. Marie good luck with painting your rocking chair. and city girl I hope the new doctor can help you.
