SSD instead of SSI

 was told that when I turn 50. (june 16) I could get my ssi changed to getting widows ssd since I am disabled. They interviewed me for it over the phone yesterday. All I have to do is bring in marriage licence since I was just approved 3 months ago for ssi they don't need anything else from me. I'll be getting about 230.00 dollars more than I'm getting right now. I realize to some of you that might not sound like much but in the area I live in it's like an extra paycheck a month.  I paid cash for my house a year ago now maybe I'll be able to afford to get some things fixed that I've had to live with. ( like one of my bathroom sinks leaks). I'm just ready to do a happy dance.

Oh and on top of that my ear is starting to feel a bit better!

I remeber living in an area where 400 a month was the average and 800 made you upper middle class. So I totally understand how a little over 200 extra a month can make a huge difference. You deserve it.
