Latly I have been having alot of finger pain. My finger tips are real sensitive to touch. Its kinda like it itches but when i scratch or rub my finger tips the pain just gets worse. I have tried to put heat and ice packs on it but nothing helps. Does anyone else have this problem and if  you do what do you do to deal with it.

Hi Jk,

   That sounds terrible! Do your fingers turn white or blue? Any numbness in your fingers or hands? Do they feel cold all the time?

   Sorry for all the questions... :-) . I hope you talk to your doctor about this and get some relief. Take care and let us know what you find out. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi JK, yes I do get that. My fingers are a mess sometimes. It hurts to type. It actually hurtsa worse from ice. I stick them in warm water and it seems to improve some. It actually feels more like the bones pressing against the tips of my fingers. Which BTW have a lot of sensitive nerves in them. I get the same pain in the joints of my thumb and little finger quite often. The more I rub it the more it hurts.
I hope you tell your rhummy about it and get some help.

JK, I agree with the others about talking to your rheumy about this. I have problems with my fingers due to both raynaud's and with nerve pain. I get a very bad burning pain in my finger tips and I take some meds for peripheral neuropathy to help with it. Let us know what your rheumy says about this. Take care

Jk, it sounds a lot like Reynard's...I have it alot. The weather, cold, A/C and ice can cause. I can also have some trouble if I take in to much salt. I have trouble with my feet at times. You rheumy can do tests and tell you right away.
