I know I have seen posts here about
rashes on legs but cannot seem to find any of them today. I am usually a couch potato and work from home and sit for 8 hours and mostly lay on the couch in the evenings. Yesterday I went to the zoo with my twin sister and her kids and we walked a LOT. We were walking for a good 4 hours yesterday. Well, by the time I got home I had a heat related headache and nausea and was sooooo hot I couldn't seem to cool down. I took off my shoes and socks and discovered that on the inner part of my lower calves right above where my sock line was a smooth red rash with brighter patches of bright red (no bumps so not heat rash). The lighter red areas faded out today and now am left with the brighter red patches. I am talking about
an area on each leg about
2 x 3 inches around and blotchy with this "rash". It was not there yesterday morning before we went to the zoo and was there when I got home. It is nowhere else on my body and it isn't an allergic reaction or rash from something my legs touched as I had on jeans and the areas were not exposed to any irritant or the sun. And it is just above the sock line so not from like the elastic of the socks either. Just wondering if anyone else has this and knows what it is called. It does not itch or hurt. Just red blotchy with brighter red patches interspersed in the lighter red. I have never had this before. I did take pictures of it as well just in case. Is it from all the walking? Just don't know.
As if the lupus symptoms and hot flashes weren't enough huh!!!! Just had to get that tiny vent out.
