First I want to say I had a great time Thursday at the concert. Didn't meet any cowboys but the bands were good. I have been doing alot of stuff this past week and am happy I have felt good enough to do it.

Having said that OUCH-OUCH-OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can hardly walk. I can't bend down without terrible pain in my left knee. It feels like somone is stabbing me with a knife. So far as long as I don't have to move I'm ok but if I need to get up for anything I have a really hard time. I hope it doesn't get any worse. I already took extra pred. Anyway I probably won't be on for a couple of days. It's kind of hard to set here.

    I'm glad you had a good time at the concert. I'm sorry to hear that you are in so much pain now though.... sad . I hope it gets better with the increase in pred. Just lay around and take it easy. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Carol,

I am sorry you are hurting. Is it just your left knee that is hurting?  Have you tried some ice?  I hope the pred. works and you are soon feeling better.

On another note, I am so glad you were feeling good and happy you had fun at the concert.

You are in my thoughts.

Sorry you are hurting, Carol. It sounds awfully painful. Sorry you didn't meet any cowboys to massage your knees. I have a good recipe for arthritis massage oil that I make sometimes and give as presents and I learned it from a paraplegic who worked in a health food store. Here goes:

1 small bottle vitamin e oil (acts as a preservative for your base oil--1 or 2 oz)
1 pint of grapeseed oil, sunflower oil, light sesame oil or any light body oil type oil
wintergreen oil, add by tbsps to reach desired strength
fragrance essential oil, add as you see fit, not too much at first maybe tsp to start

The wintergreen contains the active ingredient in aspirin, salicylic acid, which is in many arthritis creams and has the dual benefit of producing a camphor type feeling and a sweetness to the overall smell of the oil. It works really good on arthritis without being really greasy or stinking like bengay. And if you do find that cowboy....
Just need to keep it out of reach of kids as wintergreen oil is poisonous. Another good one is Absorbine horse liniment or any horse liniment. I had horses and used to rub them down all the time and that stuff is way better than what we can get and often a lot cheaper and less stinky. Hope you feel better soon.

Carol,

It was so good to see your message this morning because I had been worried that you were really sick since we hadn't heard from you in a while. I'm so sorry you're having more pain and feeling bad. It's just a bummer that we're on such a rollercoaster.

On the other hand, I'm so glad you enjoyed the concert and that you heard some good bands. I always got tired at concerts even when I was younger and healthy, so I can imagine that it must have been fun but exhausting for you.

You're smart to take it easy for a couple of days. We will miss you here, but I'm happy to know that you are taking care of yourself. I also agree with Diane that ice on your knee might help. When you're feeling better, please let us know how you are. I'll be thinking of you.

Carol, I'm glad you had such a good time, but sorry to hear about all of the pain. Please do take it easy. Hopefully if you do some power resting you will recover before too long. Get lots of rest and take good care of yourself. Love and hugs

I'm so sorry that you are hurting. Make sure you stay off your feet for a while and let that knee heal. I'm glad you had fun at the concert, sounds like it was a lot of fun. Thank you for letting us know you are okay, hopefully the pred will help.

Hi, Carol. I sure hope you are beginning to feel better. Getting plenty of R & R! Are you SURE you didn't find a cowboy? I'll have to say, hurting knee...a couple of days MIA? Hey Sharen! redface Would I lie? nono No cowboys around here ! LOL. But next month I'm going to Branson missouri than to phoenix az. So the hunt is still on! yeah I'll let ya know. I hope things are a little better for you than last I heard
