Finally back online

Well, after a long and weird period without the net I am finally back online. I am unsure how exactly I am feeling right now. The lupus appears to be in remission but the fibromyalgia is flaring and the RA is just barely controlled. The good news is I am healing well from the breast reduction and do not have anymore infection. Apparently one of the stitches was driving my body nuts and as soon as it came out the infection cleared up immediately. I see my rheumy tomorrow morning. My sleep pattern has been royally screwed up- I am unsure how to fix it as going all day without any sleep will make me feel simply horrid and might cause a migraine. Anyone have any advice for a person who is having trouble sleeping at night yet is sleeping all day once they finally crash? My second injection went well and I plan to have an epidural to help with the spinal inflammation so maybe I can get off enbrel. I will be asking my rheumy for 5mg of prednisone a day as I am down to 50mg of Imuran a day and would like off entirely. I am losing some weight slowly. I am happy about it. We are in the new place. It means a lot less money spent on gas as hubby's work is 10 minutes by car (about 3-4 blocks). I love my dishwasher and we tend to eat at home more. I am looking forward to school starting back in a few weeks. I am tired right now and need some sleep to make up for being unable to sleep last night.

redrose, it must be such a relief to be in your place and to not have to wash dishes by hand. I envy your weight loss and am glad to hear that you are recuperating from your surgery.

I had the same sleep problem as you and finally succumbed to taking lunesta in the evening. I don't let myself sleep during the day and I've finally gotten back on a normal cycle. Not sleeping was hurting my health as much as anything else. I also started taking warm baths in the evening and they would help relax me. I hope you get to the bottom of this and start sleeping at night. I think it will help you feel better and I know you're doing your best to find a solution.

Hi redrose, good to hear from you. Your new place sounds like it will definitely be less stressful for you and your family. Dishwashers are great. I have the same problem when I take pain meds, especially hydrocodone for some reason, it keeps me awake, so I end up not being able to take that near bedtime, or sleep all day the next day. I don't know what to say except that I usually have to just stay up sometimes then sleep when I get home. Also, my ultram doesn't keep me up, so I take that near nighttime for pain so I don't stay awake. I know what you mean. I hate getting up in the morning, but my bladder makes it necessary. I hope your pain is subsiding and you are healing well and the surgery is helping. Losing weight is great. Well take care.
