Alliance for Lupus Research walk a thon in Atlanta, Ga

Hello fellow lupies,

I just wanted to let everyone in the Atlanta, Georgia area that the Alliance for Lupus Research is having a Walk with Us to cure Lupus walk a thon on October 20th. I thought it would be interesting if those of us that live in the area could get together and form a team to raise money to help in the research. If anyone is interested I can e-mail you the info or post it here.

Hi Shauna!! Cleveland, Ohio is having a Lupus walk on Sept. 29 too!!! I hesitate to do the walk because it is 3 miles and I'm not sure if it is out of the sun . . . but I can only safely do 1.5 -2 miles w/o risking a flare . . . . . so I volunteered to help at the registration table or wherever they need me as long it is out of the sun (I would hope the whole thing is in the shade, but who knows). I'm looking forward to meeting some of the other Lupans there. I saw a picture from last year's event and it looks like there were less than 20 people involved . . . I was a bit shocked, but I'll see for myself next week. I hope you'll keep us posted on your event and I hope some of the others here live near enough to join you!!! Blessings!
