I don't think we've had any problems along this line in the lupus forum, but thought I'd go ahead and post this here as a general remider. HW Administrator said... A forum member publicly defamed some doctors by name in the forums. I deleted the post, which I think was simply missed. I just received a very threatening letter from the doctors in question who are threatening legal action if it happens again. I'm not sure they would win, since we cannot be held responsible for everything someone posts on a public forum. Still, I don't want the legal fight to start with. Please edit or delete any posts that are defamatory or make derogatory comments about a person or company by name (and make sure to alert me about it). This simply isn't the place for it and places us in legal jeopardy. Anonymous complaining about one's doctor is one thing, but posting his or her name on the forum and saying they are a terrible doctor is another and can cause a lot of damage. Peter This means everyone should refrain from complaining about a person or company by name, and if you do use a such a name, it will be deleted or edited. Thanks,
