I was talking to a person from this forum just this morning that told me there are maybe 2 people on this forum that are suffering with Hashimoto's Encephalopathy. I have found many people over the last couple of years with Hashimoto's thyroiditis but not HE. I would very much like to get to know someone who has experienced this rare autoimmune disease so that I can help my wife more. She has had HE for at least a year and a half.

If you can help me with personal experience or knowledge, please help

Hi there;

I'm the person you spoke with during chat today. I truly believe there's someone on this forum that has hashimoto's encephalopaty. I may be wrong and it's possible as I've got lupus fog and fibro fog most of the time. If there's a member on our forum would you please respond to this? If I'm wrong I sincerely apologize for leading you astray.

Yes, I agree with Rosie, Emmi is the one. I have hashimoto's thyroiditis with high TPOs and mental complications and diffuse brain damage. I have yet to find anyone to say I have HE, I don't think my symptoms now are severe enough. I hope you and your wife are doing ok and wish you the best. You might also try Mary Shomon's thyroid forum I think its on about.com, I know she has written books about H.E. and has a ton of info on it and there are a lot of people there too with it as well as other endocrine disorders.

oldfordlover, I'd love to answer any questions you have about this wonderful *sarcasm* disease of HE. I'd be a lot more comfortable however on the forum dedicated to that topic. You can find it through Beverly Seminara's site with all of her research on HE. From your description of yourself, I think you might already be posting on the board dedicated to that topic. If not I apologize, and I urge you to look for the board. It is called HELPS.
