Attention!

  Lupus Members, It's time to rein in the off topic posts.  We need to remember that the forums are intended for Lupus Support and related health issues, and keep the focus on Lupus. It's a difficult task to balance between "Don't" Rule 17 and "Do" Rules 5 & 6 -- DON'T 17. No irrelevant or off-topic posts. Posts which are not relevant to the forum topic may be deleted at the moderator's discretion. DO 5.     Lend a helping hand. A bit of compassion can go a long way toward helping people with life's challenges and reaching out can help alleviate feelings of loneliness. We're all different, but we're really all the same. At sometime or another, we all need or want help or simply someone with whom we can share our burdens or successes. DO 6.    Don't be afraid to share. If you're feeling alone or hurting, don't be afraid to share your fears and tears. If you're rejoicing about the results of a recent medical test or treatment, share that too. Please help us walk this fine line and give everyone the chance they need to focus on lupus and similar AI issues. Also note: The forums do have limited space on the host computer, and the more space we use the slower the performance -- that's why we also ask that signatures be less than 10 lines. Please don't make a practice of quoting the person before you unless you want to empathize PART of their post. Please use a link to articles instead of posting them.  (DON’T 9.   No posts of lengthy articles.  Sharing information is allowed, but the forums are not to be used to publish articles. It is an improper use of critical forum resources.)  All members are welcome to use the Chat Room to discuss on and off-topic subjects, so feel free to initiate such Chats. There are often people in the Lupus Chat room in the early afternoon & 7-9 in the evening (EST).   Thanks for taking time to read this reminder and for your understanding about the need for some specific parameters in posting.   Your Lupus Moderators  

If you see 2 or more threads on the same topic (ie Plaquenil), what if we post in the newest thread and add a link to the other thread(s)? That will help reduce the clutter so everyone can find the same material more quickly. It will also help us get the same information to everyone without having to post in 2 places.
