Hi Y.T.,
I don't think we've met, but what Rosie said is absolutely true. I have both lupus and fibro. It's really hard to tell the two apart. The only way I know which one is flaring is to increase my prednisone and see how I feel. If I feel better on more prednisone, then it is my lupus flaring. If I feel worse on more prednisone then it is my fibro flaring up. Just like Rosie said. Prednisone and fibromyalgia don't mix. They hate each other!
What made you decide that you don't have lupus? Is that a decision you made, or your doctors? Please don't try to self diagnose. I hope you have your doctors viewpoints to go by.
It's not uncommon for our blood tests to come back normal from time to time. Mine did. For 4 years, I had normal blood test results (almost. Some of them were still positive). But a remission from lupus can trick you into thinking it's gone for good, or you never had it in the first place.
Best to get the decision from your doctor. I hope this helps!
