I have bart and lyme. The herx was bearable. My stomach (gastro) issues have been greatly reduced. My stomach is no longer bloated, the gas is gone, a few pounds remain to get rid off, but overall I am feeling better. Now for the herx, I herx at the beginning of each month. Actually, I just figured this out. I break out in a rash on my neck, knees ache more, and get fatigued. Now to explain fatigued: I spend the most of the day on the coach or in bed. That is my story, which may not be your story. The disease affects everyone so differently.
I think what bothered me the most was how my stomach felt and how distended my abdomen had become. I can deal with the knee pain, not the gastro issues. I have experieced some tingling along the head, neck, and limbs........it feels like pins and needles after a part of you had "fallen asleep."
I work full time, am able to go out with friends, etc. I feel so lucky that I am not more sick than I am. I may not be operating at 100% but neither am I operating at a level that incapitates me.
