Hi Everyone:

Its been a while since I have been on here...Busy taking care of my mother...

I got lyme in July of 07 just before my wedding.  As of today I'm back to 99.9% of my old life and loving it.

It was one hell of a road, but I did get well...I belive my lyme is in remission...I have a wonderful doctor (not a LLMD) who has been great in treating me and my lyme. 

To this day, he still has me fax to him once a month my chart I made of all my symthoms so he can see where I am at.  He did however call me the other day over my CT scan (for another reason) to tell me my spleen in englared and he is concrned about this, so I see him this week.  Is this lyme related, I don't know, I hope not...But if it is, I will fight it like I did with all the other problems my "Love bug" gave me...

I want everyone to know there is HOPE, you can get better, but with lyme it can take a very long time...Do I still have sympthoms from my lyme, yes I do, but I have learned to live with them and make each day the best day of my life...

I have always said "Lyme will not win, I will" and I did...

Prayers to everyone that is dealing with lyme.

How long were you ill before diagnosed? Also, how long were you treated?

So glad you are feeling much better.

Hi:

I was bitten on the back of my neck July 22, 2007.  Got sick 8 days later.  Went to the doctor, thought it might be stress from planning my wedding.  Got the flu 14 days later high fever, etc.  Dr. then said "Lyme".  Since I am allergic to 99% of all abx's they had a hard time. Tested positive via Igenex on October 16, 2007.

Also had bad neck pain, knee pain, numbness, this awful burning on my upper chest, bee sting feeling, on and on and on.  It was awful.

Was on Axomicllian for 14 days, then doxy for 2 weeks.  Then went on Ceftin for 3 months.  That has been it.  Have been doing good since Feb of this year.  After I stopped the ceftin I did not feel well for about 2 months, then day by day much better.

If I get really stressed out my neck and knee will act up, but goes away after I de-stress...

I am seeing my doctor tomorrow for my spleen problem they found on a CT scan for another reason.  Not sure what is up with that....But all in all I feel pretty good.
