Its been a while, i hope everyoe is doing well...my boyfriend has FINALLY began feeling better, after 2 years and 9 hospitals with lyme things have changed
his headaches have gone away, hes up and hes moving, and hes now starting to function like a normal person without sleeping for 15 hrs a day...
i have to say, we didnt do much, he was given iv prednisone for 5 days, did you know after a treatment of iv rocephin your supposed to b put on steriods?we didnt, put he was
then we finally found out the he was dehydrated, it seems that pain meds dehydrate you and bc ur on pain meds or medications, you dont stop to drink, we had him and still do, drinking 20 bottles of water, and gatorade a day...and then hes on vitamins...
and poof they all went away, the headaches that helped him loose so much of his life are gone, i only wish this lasts forever, and that everyone else can feel like this as well
god bless

I am confused, glad your boyfriend is doing better but if you think its due to steroids are you sure he has Lyme Disease? Most people with LD will get worse on steroids

positive he has lyme...not once but twice, once at 17 and then again at 27...he developed optic neuritis a few months ago, and steriods had to be given to give him his eye sight back, the steriods ended up helping tremendously, and we were made aware by a dr that after lyme treatment steriods although sometimes make it worse, can also help in bringing down the inflammation that needs to be released...
hope it helps

OMG! How wonderful for you and him -- right before christmas season too!
The dehydration thing sounds very familiar. Am going downstairs right now to chug a glass or two.
Take care!
p.s. interesting thing about
steroids.
