What is your success with IV treatment with Rocephin?

I started my IV treatment with Rocephin 1 time a day about 3 weeks ago. My doctor is putting me on it for 6 weeks. I was wondering what success people had with this treatment? I have severe nurological problems from the lymes, balance, memory, etc and I am hoping this will fix everything as I have not been able to work for the last 3 years. I train horses so balance is a must. Would also love to hear the side effects that you had. Thanks.

I've been on it twice in a year. Each time was for 3 months. It is a good drug for the lyme but if you have co-inf. you will NOT get better. So it actually will help you know if you've got a co-inf. because you just won't get better. Some of my symptoms got better but for the most part I got worse.

I will mention that after I started it, it only took a week or so and I could tell some die off occurred. But, I could also tell something was not getting hit.

Thanks for all the information everyone! I have been tested for co infections and I am negative. I was on Tindamax, Omnicef, and Bioxin for almost 3 years on and off and then I swtiched to my new doctor and he said to get the IV stuff right away. First 2 weeks with my port hurt really bad. Couldn't use my left side because of muscle pain from the port. Though when I get the needle changed once a week I don't notice it much, so that is a plus. I see my doctor on the 9th so I will find out what the plan is.
