Hi Cajungrl!
Sorry you are hurting so badly and everyone else on here!
The only time I had the intense pain that was not even touched by the pain meds or muscle relaxers was in August 2005, when I didn't know I was sick. All I could do was lie as flat as possible with out a pillow. It lasted about 2 and a half weeks until it became a bearable level of pain. Through the internet and the chiro., I figured out it was Lyme, and went to the Dr. and said that isn't it ironic that ever since I was bit by that tick the last week of June, I haven't felt well and the neck pain is a symptom of Lyme. Rather than test me, he put me on the doxy, but only for 10 days.
I did improve, and felt okay for the years in between, so didn't think anything of it, until March. But this time, the pain never reached the intensity of the first time. But it was different this time and kept moving and changing, and to try to describe it to anybody, I felt like they must think I'm insane or something. I didn't really take anything for it because it didn't relieve it, but lying down it seemed to feel better. Then I thought I must be insane or something. But, by catching it before it got too out of hand, I did finally improve on the IV cefrtiaxone, and HOPE it really is gone. And also that I was not just reinfected the other day!
I did find B1 at the drug store, and was already taking subligual B12, and also B complex from the health food store, so we'll see if it repels the things. It keeps raining here, so they are going to be out all the time. My husband was going to take me to Cabella's and find a really good repellant for me and the the dog, but we haven't gotten out there yet. I don't like the idea of deet, but nothing else seems to work.
If you see this before 2 pm, say a prayer for me. I have an interview to go into Hospice Care. I feel that I belong there and that I will get it, but extra prayers are always good.
I keep praying for you and everyone on here who continue to suffer!
