Seriously!!! you guys understand my pain, my family and friends think i'm crazy and just depressed because i sold my new house i lived in for 2 years to move back in with my parents for a while. They all think its that. I tell them its not, i'm really messed up on something. My mom is almost convinced that it is lyme because i've thrown everything on the net at her. my brother blows me off and tells me to go see a shrink. I know i new here, but i feel so at home here. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their support

Thats awesome you feel so good i had the same feelings when i found the forum.
You should go and get a copy of the documentary of "under our skin".
Google the name you will get the site and u can order it there. This is an amazing start to getting th people around u to understand. It is all just part of the stigma surrounding the disease imagine what u didnt know before it happened to u. The family members may get mad at u but find ways to get them to watch it. I asked my dads girlfriend to tell him she wanted to watch it because he does everything she says. After he did he was actually telling people about it. My daughters father was practically yelling at me he was so mad i was making him watch it then when it was over he was quiet i said to him "Are you glad you watched it?" he said, "We gotta get her (our daughter ) tested. I contracted lyme in 2000, 6 years prior to having her but i didnt know it until 2007 when i became pregnant and major symptoms activated. always vague symptoms before that besides the innitial infection symptoms which i thought were flu and rash from something in the woods after camping.

-Anyways we all are experiencing resistence also im developing tricks to blow open minds to the idea like opening up the topic of other diseases w unknown causes being lyme induced. that is what intersts me so much because undiagnosed properly w lyme and recieving treatment is life or death to someone u know with one of these diseases. It is worth the proper testing from igenex or a clinical diagnoses form a lyme doc only

james see if your local library has the book cure unknown or buy it its by pam weintraub it describes this disease in great detail and it will help you understand a lot more too.

thanks to everyone, my appointment is on monday to get the WB done, i hope it comes back positive for lyme or co-infections, i know that sounds bad, but i hope it doesn't come back as something else..

I'm so glad you got an appointment! Good luck to you. I know how you feel when you say that you 'hope you have Lyme'. I used to say it too. Before I actually knew it was Lyme, I had a few family members and friends think I was either nuts or just making everything up. How sad is that? They believe me now though and my husband would never let anyone talk about me like that again. It's hard to believe because we don't 'look' sick. And we sometimes have good days like we never had Lyme before. I think that's why it's so hard for people to believe us. Get that DVD like Veronica said and make your family watch it. It will open up their eyes. It explains alot about how we feel and what we go through.

I wish you the best of luck in all of this. Let us know how your test comes out.
