Hi all
Since we are forbidden from taking NSAIDs with Lyme, I thought it might help to compile a list of nature's own...
Here are mine.
Omega 3 Fatty Acids (Americans have an abundance of Omega 6 due to the corn and soy based food supply).
To increase your level of Omega 3s -- eat more salmon (wild caught only) or supplement with fish oil that has been distilled to remove mercury and other bad stuff. Fish contains subtances called EPA and DHA that is also great for your brain so there might be an added benefit. You can also use canola and olive oils to increase your levels and eat flax seed for the kind of Omega 3 fatty acid that contains something called alpha linoic acid (I think). Fish oil is probably a little better than flax seed. But you need both. Check with a doctor though if you have diabetes , heart disease etc. pasture fed chickens, pigs, and cattle all have omega 3 due to their diet of plant life versus seed -- corn and soy, which are high in omega 6.
