RD,
Troy is the most boring place I have ever been. There's nothing to do there. The people are awesome though... Very, very polite and they have drive through stores! That's the coolest thing I ever saw! lol

Hey, CajunGirl, Troy is farther south than Tuscaloosa, where I am. Hope the upcoming hurricane season goes easy on you!
We did get quite a few LA folks who evacuated to Tuscaloosa as a result of Katrina. A lot of them have stayed here. We are fortunate, as they have brought their expertise and skills and accents(!) to our community!!!

Cleo,
I hope the hurricanes stay far away from us this year. We got hit twice last year. I have no clue what I will do if we have to leave again.
Last year, we went to Texas.

CajunGirl, my sister and her hubby live in SE Texas (used to live in Port Arthur area, now relocated to Beaumont). They got wiped out in Hurricane Rita. They watch the weather very closely, probably like you do, too. Hope this is a mild season!
