Finding an LLMD in New Hampshire

Hello Everyone,

I have been recently diagnosed with what my PCP calls "late stage lyme disease" and she has tried me on a 30 day dosage of doxycycline. It has been 2 months since I finished the doxy and I still don't feel any better and at times I feel as if it's getting worse.

After reading some of the posts, I realize that my symptoms are the same as those of many members here and suspect that I need to seek out an LLMD in my area. I do not fully understand the controvery concerning finding an LLMD but if anyone can help me find one, I live in the seacoast region of New Hampshire and would love to find this kind of doctor. And, I have no problem with getting to most anywhere in NH so I will gladly accept any recommendations of LLMD's in all of NH or the northeastern part of Massachusetts.

I appreciate any help and guidance the members here can give me.

Hi lobolassie,

Welcome to the forum! I'm so glad you have found us:)

A 30 day dose of Doxycycline is definitely not enough for late state Lyme. You will probably have to be on antibiotics alot longer. The dosage for Doxy is between 300-400mg by ILADS guidelines.

Anyway, below is some information that will help you find a good LLMD:

ILADS is also a great site to find information and learn even more about Lyme Disease and the correct dosages for antibiotics, etc.

I am also in dire need of an LLMD in southern, NH. I was referred to one - but that Dr. does not take insurance and they want $205.00 for one little office visit. I would even go to Mass, Boston. Can anyone offer a referral???

$ 205- is so very cheap for a first visit. Most LLMD's also do not take insurance.
